Mini Desk Makeover

When I moved our small secretary desk to make room for our big Christmas tree, I decided that it was time to change the striped Restoration Hardware wallpaper. Some of you might think that it still looked good but I've had it for a couple of years and I felt like it was time for a change.

I have been snatching up shelf liners at TJ Maxx and Marshalls whenever I spot them. I love the Laura Ashley and Macbeth Collection liners.

This one reminds me of Jonathan Adler.

I love that they have a sticky side to them and that I don't have to use decoupage/ModPodge. I've used it but it drives me nuts. It's stressful to apply that stuff, seriously!

I have to stop myself so I don't stick shelf liners to everything, that's how great I think they are.
This is what my desk looked like before, remember? And sticking that wallpaper to the back wasn't fun either.

So I found several grey colored Macbeth liners and I know the chevron would make a great statement, but I want to get away from it since it is everywhere and I already have bold patterns in my living room. The liner that I used almost looks like a solid color from far away.
